Vaunt, Intel smart glasses that look like normal glasses

Intel showed a prototype of Vaunt, glasses smart that they have a fundamental difference with the known up to now: they look like regular glasses.

No cameras, buttons, an extra screen, microphones, or speakers. At least for now, as highlighted in the technology site The Verge, which had exclusive access to the prototype.

Vaunt takes a laser of class a low power that is in charge of projecting on the retina of a monochromatic image to 400 x 150 pixels.

Vaunt can project information directly to the user's eyes, whether it be notifications, recipes or maps. This is possible thanks to the glasses smart Intel have a processor, accelerometer, compass, Bluetooth and compass.

Intel does not market directly to these glasses, but that will open at the end of the year a plan for developers to create their own versions. From there, one can expect the presence of 4G connectivity, microphones, and other elements that make them more independent of glasses created from Vaunt.

The addition of 4G would open up new ways of communicating. Adding a microphone will allow the glasses smart of Intel to work with a digital assistant like Siri, Alexa, Cortana, or Assistant of Google.

The design of Vaunt, in addition to those two features, would make the glasses smart a product attractive to the general public.

Future

The antecedent more resonant in glasses smart is Google Glass glasses that they didn't become massive because of its appearance, high price and usability.

The look of Intel seems to be different to that of GoogleWith Glass, Google sought to change the lives of the users through a screen and Intel wants you to Vaunt fit the lives of the users.

Google Glass and products based on that technology never got a good reputation, something that Vaunt seeks to achieve, in the beginning, opting for a design that does not protrude into the street.
