The company does not know, or could not, adapt to survive with a production more small and broke. From then on, the brand was passing from hand to hand. So the logo of these mythical cameras ended up in the products most unlikely. Today in fact there are even tablets or Polaroid glasses.

But analog photography is still reluctant to die, despite being abandoned by the industry. In 2008, three entrepreneurs founded a small company called the Impossible Project. His goal was to re-launch film instant, but without the help of what was left of Polaroid. Against all odds they succeeded in buying machinery of the factories that had just been dismantled and a factory in the Netherlands.
That first film Impossible left much to be desired. Even the photos they ended up fading with the passage of time. This was because in order to produce the original film was required in a chain of suppliers that had departed. So those early films of Impossible were so extremely disappointing that almost felt sorry.
Impossible Project made reels compatible with Polaroid, but its quality was inferior to the original.
They gradually improved, although without achieving never match to the original film.In addition to the new instant films for Polaroid were, and are, quite expensive. What slowed that instant photography were to become mainstream. Well, this became a market that seemed to be touched by the curse of the exclusivity.
The cameras restored that sold the Impossible Project came to be exorbitant prices. And that though was enough to take a look at the websites selling second-hand to find polaroids at a bargain price almost new. In the end, there is still a huge number of units in spite of their disappearance 10 years ago.

When Polaroid went bankrupt division of snapshot of the japanese company was reduced to its minimal expression. The technology of these new cameras is pretty much Impossible to Project now renamed simply Polaroid Originals and their cameras are offered also on the official website of Polaroid.
Impossible had already occurred in the past year an instant camera priced at $ 300, but the relaunch of the brand now is done with a camera called OneStep 2 that is more economical. Will sell for 119 euros, starting on October 19. We'll see if it finally arrives in Spain in time for the christmas campaign.
The reels of Polaroid continue to have a high price, since each photo costs you two euros.
The camera has a great resemblance with the Polaroid 600, the model perhaps most known for. But it also brings some innovations. Mainly a few improved lenses, or at least so says the company, and a USB port to recharge a lithium-ion battery that provides 60 days of autonomy. Yes, there is no more trace of digital technology in this camera.
The problem is again the price of the movie. For 16 euros you can buy cartridges of eight photos of the new film (i-Type, which apparently improves the performance of the films of Impossible to not have to carry its own built-in battery. Will be sold in versions color and black-and-white.
The other film compatible, that was already producing pretty much Impossible, is the 600, which price is 19 euros, and it also contains eight photos. Keep in mind that the film Instax Mini Fuji sells on Amazon right now for a price of 10 euros the cartridge 10 photos. Although you can buy lots that lower the price of each photo up to 60 cents. Be that as it may, something tells us that these new polaroids, whose appearance is quite attractive, it will sell well. Although, yes, you run the risk of ending up forgotten in a drawer after expiration of the first reel.
